A ONE STAMP QUIET DANIEL DEFENSE
The Daniel Defense ISR Gen 2 is an integrally suppressed DDM4 rifle chambered in 300 Blackout. The 9″, cold hammer forged barrel is fluted with a pistol-length gas system and accommodates both subsonic and supersonic projectiles reliably. Additionally, since there is no mounting and removal of the suppressor, zero will remain the same in all conditions.
Because the suppressor is integral on the DDM4 ISR Gen 2, there is no need for an additional SBR tax stamp. With the suppressor permanently attached, the rifle meets the NFA barrel length requirements. Although the suppressor is attached to the barrel, it is still user serviceable should maintenance ever be needed.
Daniel Defense’s MFR XL 15.0 modular handguard covers the barrel and suppressor, and features a continuous 1913 picatinny rail on top and keymod sections on the sides and bottom.
CAPITOL ARMORY’S OPINION
Integrally suppressed rifles have a coolness about them that’s hard to beat. The one-piece look and feel of a quality integral rifle isn’t something you see every day. Daniel Defense is popular for their short barrel rifles, be it the iconic DDM4 MK18 or the V7S used by law enforcement around the country. The ISR is an evolution of their short barrel rifle lineup. Chambered in 300 Blackout, it’s an extremely quiet rifle. The suppressor portion is permanently affixed, making the ISR the same size as a suppressed SBR, but without the additional tax stamp. The ISR should be on anyone’s radar who is looking for a great one-piece setup, wants a suppressed rifle to avoid an extra SBR stamp, or just loves Daniel Defense’s product lineup and wants to add to their collection.
