This Chester County Armory listing is for a rarely seen as a fully transferable model, Danish factory original, Madsen M50 9x19mm Parabellum transferable submachine gun.
Hard to come by as a fully NFA transferable machine gun, this Madsen M50 was factory built by Dansk Industri Syndikat of Copenhagen, Denmark, and originally directly imported to the US for a federal law enforcement agency. The Madsen M50 with it’s clamshell, stamped metal design, is one of the more unique open-bolt submachine gun’s to come out of Europe during the SMG production barrage of the 1950’s and 60’s. Reliable and easy-shooting, this model has been test-fired and runs flawlessly. It features its original tubular folding stock along with its original leather stock wrap, as well as the unique front grip safety the Madsen is known for. Purchase will include one original factory M50 32rd magazine.
Mechanically, this weapon is in excellent overall condition. The bolt face remains crisp, clean, and well-defined. The bore remains bright and shiny with crisp rifling. All firing and safety mechanism operate smoothly and appropriately. The metalwork notes no significant dents, dings, gouges, malformations, etc. Cosmetically, this model does display significant surface scratches and finish wear, as well as handling, use, and storage marks in its original exterior painted finish. All markings are cosmetic in nature only, and this model appears to have been handled considerably more than it has been fired, as the internals do no show wear consistent with the external appearance of the weapon.
This Danish-built Madsen Model 50 SMG is currently on a Form 3 for quick and easy eForm transfer.
