This Chester County Armory listing is for a Sturm Ruger AC-556K .223REM transferable factory machine. It is in it’s original factory “K” or “short” configuration, as designated by the 13″ factory barrel length along with it’s factory Ruger side-folding stock. It proudly features four position fire controls that include safe, semi-automatic, three round burst, and full-automatic options.
This Ruger factory-made and registered machine gun is in very good overall condition. The internal mechanics and the metalwork note finish wear on the metal-to-metal contact points of the bolt and charging handle assembly, but the metalwork contains no dings, dents, cracks, malformations, etc.. The bolt face is clean and crisp. The barrel remains clean, bright and shiny, with solid, well delineated rifling. The folding stock lock-up remains tight and solid. This weapon runs well with standard SAAMI spec ammunition in all fire control modes.
Cosmetically, the bluing of the receiver does denotes minor finish wear at various spots, but no points of physical or operational concern. The original factory wooden stock displays minor indentations and surface marks and scratches, as well, but again, no cracks, major chips, or any operational or functional concerns. . The handguard and pistol grip are in excellent cosmetic condition.
Purchase of this weapon will include an original Ruger factory sling and a total of four magazines (two Ruger factory 30rd magazines and two 25 round magazines from an aftermarket manufacturer).
This factory transferable AC556K machine gun is currently on a Form 3 for easy eForm transfer. The current NFA paperwork lists “Sturm Ruger” as the manufacturer of this weapon and “AC-556K” as the model. The barrel length is also correctly listed as 13″ on the current Form 3.
