.308 SUPPRESSION FOR THE PROS

The Alley Cat 308 is made for professionals utilizing .308 rifles, most often LE/MIL snipers with moderate-range engagements.  While it will work quite well when suppressing 5.56, 6mm, or other smaller calibers, the Alley Cat .308 achieves it’s great performance by being made specifically to suppress .308.  Once-size-fits-all may work for many products, but the demanding needs of today’s combat professions require the absolute best tool for the job.

While it may not see the same level of blast reduction as the 5.56, 6mm, and 7.62 versions, the Alley Cat 308 still is less concussive in confined spaces than the competition.  Sound signature and flash reduction are obvious, but modern combat in cave systems, tunnels, and hallways has shown the concussive force from muzzle blast to have adverse effects during and after the engagement.  Reducing this means easier mission success and easier recovery.  Paying attention to details with a severe headache induced by your teammate’s muzzle blast is less than ideal and can easily be avoided.

CAT has achieved such lofty goals by rethinking how a silencer should function.  Instead of a hard stop like traditional baffle designs, the entire silencer is used to maintain consistent pressure.  Areas where pressure is higher bleed off into lower-pressure segments within the silencer.  This happens numerous times, allowing the gas to be cooled and the shot to be much more quiet.  At the same time, it also reduces both forward and rearward pressure.  Less blowback to the shooter and less muzzle blast are equally important aspects of the Alley Cat family.

Alley Cat silencers are available in Inconel and titanium variants.  The Inconel version is desired when aggressive schedules of fire are present.  SBRs, select-fire weapons, and any prolonged engagements will benefit from the more durable material.  Titanium is much lighter and should be utilized when weight is an important factor.  It is designed for more precise uses where a lower round count in a short time will be expected.   Under intended use, Alley Cat silencers have a 100,000+ round service life.
