This Chester County Armory listing is for an extremely rare, fully transferable machine gun version of the SIG SG 510 7.62x51mm NATO variant of the Sturmgewehr 57 Swiss Assault Rifle.
This model is one of only 7 known transferable machine gun versions ever made available for civilian purchase in the US of the SIG SG 510-4. This fantastic, roller-delayed blowback select-fire model was converted by Charles Erb using an all original SIG AMT (American Match Target version of the SIG SG 510-7) 7.62x51mm NATO factory-chambered semi-automatic model imported into the US by Pedro Bello. This was the only transferable model of this weapon Charles Erb every registered. The known NFA registry shows 6 other converted models (one by Alltech that was imported by Benet Arms and 5 total by Pearl Manufacturing that were also imported by Pedro Bello).
This extremely rare and collectible machine gun is in overall excellent condition. Mechanically, it notes no concerns whatsoever. The metalwork is strong and solid, with no cracks, dents, dings, gouges, malformations, or concerns of a physical nature. The internals show very limited, if any wear. The bore is bright and shiny and the rifling is crisp and clean. Cosmetically, this weapon is also in superb condition! The original fit and finish is exceptional, and very few handling marks are at all visible in the beautiful satin blue to matte black finish. The high polished wood furniture is in excellent condition, with only minor markings. Purchase of this model will include (4) Swiss original 20rd magazines, (3) converted 20rd M14 magazines for use with the SIG AMT, and one Swiss-marked original magazine pouch.
This extraordinary transferable machine gun is currently on an eForm-capable Form 3 for easy transfer. The current Form 3 lists “Charles Erb” as the manufacturer and “SIG AMT” as the model.
